University Student Legal Services (USLS) provides education, advice, and representation within the scope of the prepaid student legal services plan. USLS services are free to currently enrolled NC State University students who have paid student fees.
USLS attorneys assist students in many areas, including landlord/tenant, traffic/criminal, employment, domestic and family, consumer, student organizations and non-profits, and immigration law.
Since 2015, USLS has advised and represented students on immigration, including:
- Permanent residency (green card)
- Citizenship
- Asylum/special immigrant visa
- Temporary protected status
- Consular process
- Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
- Other Immigration Matters
