Bio

Pamarah Gerace has been a member of the Student Legal Services team since its beginning in August 1987. An NC State CAMPUS Community Coalition member since 2000, Gerace is an active advocate and resource for students at NC State University. She has been a member of the NC State Alliance for Sexual Assault and Prevention and its previous committees since 1990; helped to establish the NCSU-Relationship and Sexual Violence Phone Line; and has been a member of the Wake County Domestic Violence Task Force since 1997.

Gerace was appointed to the Board of Directors (Chairperson) for Hannah’s Hands, International (2013-present). She was a Wake County District Court-Mediator and was the recipient of the 2007 NLADA Student Legal Services Elizabeth Berg Streeter Community Service Award for service to the legal community, social justice and equality.

A member of the Wake County Bar Association, NC Bar Association, Tenth Judicial District Bar, National Legal Aid and Defender Association Student Legal Services Section; Gerace is admitted to practice in North Carolina, the Middle District of North Carolina of the United States District Court. She is also a Notary Public.

Gerace’s past experience includes serving as Director of the Legal Assistants Program at Meredith College; Board of Directors-Halifax Court Child Care and Family Services Center; Attorney for NC Nursing Board; Junior League Grant-LAW project-Women’s Center; Legal Aid of North Carolina.

She holds a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law ’83, a B.S.in Mathematics with a major in history from Meredith College ’80.
